Croatian President Zoran Milanovic made a statement on the occasion of the 28th anniversary of the genocide in Srebrenica .
Milanovic emphasized that the memory of the victims of Srebrenica is important both for the sake of future generations and to prevent such crimes from happening again.
The Croatian President shared the following words on his Facebook account, “On this day, we commemorate the more than eight thousand victims of the genocide in Srebrenica. On this sad anniversary, especially difficult and painful for the families of those who lost their lives, I would like to once again convey my sincere condolences. Remembering the victims of Srebrenica is also important for the well-being of future generations so that we hope such crimes do not happen again.”
