Within the scope of “Supporting Silk Bosniak Farmers with Milk and Milk Production Equipments”, machines used in milk and dairy production were distributed to Bosnian farmers.
Deputy Prime Minister for Minority Affairs and Human Rights of Kosovo, Emilija Rexhepi, TIKA Pristina Coordinator Fulya Aslan and milk and dairy product manufacturers attended the distribution ceremony held in Ipek and Istog Municipalities in the west of Kosovo.
Deputy Prime Minister Rexhepi said at the ceremony that he is very happy to participate in such an event where TIKA supports the projects of members of minority communities in Kosovo.
Rexhepi stated that he hopes the producers will organize their work better with the support provided by TIKA, and said, “As the Government of the Republic of Kosovo, I would like to congratulate you all on the project once again, with the hope that we will continue our partnership with the Turkish state institution TIKA.” said.
TIKA Coordinator Aslan also explained that TIKA carried out many projects in this field to meet the food needs of the people of Kosovo, to develop the agriculture and livestock sector, which has an important place in the country’s economy, and to improve production conditions.
Noting that there are problems due to the fact that animal and agricultural products are not sufficient for the increasing world population and food safety cannot be ensured in the products produced, Aslan said:
“Today, we aim to produce healthy milk and dairy products processed with modern and hygienic methods with the milk cooling tanks and dairy products production equipment we will provide to you, our esteemed farmers, and thus to ensure quality production and food safety.”
Within the scope of the project, machines used in the production and storage of milk and dairy products were provided to 10 farmers.
