Bulgaria Sends Its Old Armored Vehicles to Ukraine

Bulgaria will send about a hundred old armored vehicles kept in warehouses since the 1980s to Ukraine .

According to the news of the Bulgarian Radio, one of the ruling party’s deputies, Ivaylo Mirchev, said that Bulgaria could receive American aid in return for the shipment.

Mirchev explained that Bulgaria’s arms exports to Ukraine have reached 2.5 billion euros in the last 16 months and are expected to reach 3.5 billion by the end of the year .

Mirchev said that some of the vehicles to be sent need to be repaired, adding that the plan is to support the government’s ruling coalition, the Movement for Rights and Freedom party (MRF), the prime minister, the interior and defense ministers and the parliament’s defense committee.
