The Minister of Tourism, Ilin Dimitrov, visited the Bulgarian stand at the International Tourism Fair (IFT), which opened today in the capital of Serbia, Belgrade. The Bulgarian advertising stand was built on an area of ​​100 square meters and was attended by seven representatives of the tourism sector and municipal administrations.

IFT (Sajam Turizma) is defined as the largest tourism event in Serbia and Southeast Europe related to the tourism industry, intended for both the general public and industry professionals, and will be held for the 44th time in 2023. The exchange provides an opportunity to establish contacts with business partners, tourism organizations and administrations.

The news that the Belgrade-Varna direct flight is expected to resume in June this year was one of the most commented on the Bulgarian stand on the first day of the exhibition.

At the exhibition, Minister Dimitrov met with Ljubcho Janevski, Director of the National Tourism Development Agency of North Macedonia. They agreed to exchange lists of influencers for the promotion and online promotion of the two countries.

Among the ideas discussed was the connection between the wine destinations of the two countries. There are more than 200 promising places in Bulgaria and North Macedonia where tourists can enjoy the taste of quality wine. Minister Dimitrov invited the director of the travel agency of North Macedonia to visit Bulgaria at the end of May this year, when our country will host the 68th session of the Europe Regional Commission of the UN World Tourism Organization.
