He had a meeting of etiquette on Thursday 23.02.2023 at the office of the Mayor of Alexandroupolis, Yiannis Zamboukis , with the Ambassador of Bulgaria in Athens, Valentin Poriazov, who was in our city on the occasion of the 1st East Macedonia & Thrace Forum – 1st East Macedonia & Thrace Forum.
The focus of the discussion is Alexandroupolis, which is developing into a new geostrategic hub in the Balkans and SE Europe, but also Alexandroupolis as a popular tourist destination for Bulgarian citizens.
At the same time, in the context of city diplomacy, the activation of relations with Burgas, the 4th largest city in Bulgaria and an important industrial, transport, cultural and tourist center of the country, was extensively discussed with the planning of a meeting between the two mayors.
