Serbia defeated Bosnia and Herzegovina 12-1 in ice hockey’s Women’s World Championship Division III Group B on Tuesday.
It was Serbia’s second win in two games in the three-team group, while Bosnia currently have a record of one win and one loss, and Israel have suffered two losses.
The three teams will face each other once more, in the tournament that takes place at the OneIce Arena in the Israeli village of Tenuvot. The top team will qualify for Group A.
Serbia’s Katarina Cizmic and Jovana Popov scored a hat-trick apiece, while Valentina Vrhoci scored two more.
Anastasija Bencic, Ivett Vastag, Hanna Rac Sabo and Milica Velcek scored one goal each. Sumejja Zajimovic got a consolation goal for Bosnia.
In the next game of the tournament, Israel will face Serbia on Wednesday.
