Slovenia to send soldiers to UNMIK mission in Kosovo

Ljubljana, 24 February – The government has decided that Slovenia will contribute up to five soldiers to UNMIK, the UN’s peace mission in Kosovo, with the option of rotations, and will now inform the parliamentary defence and foreign affairs committees about the plan. The decision comes as Slovenia bids for a 2024-2025 non-permanent seat on the Security Council.
