The Pentagon plans to modernize two air bases in Romania

The US Department of Defense plans to upgrade two air bases in Romania, according to new tenders published by the Pentagon on February 24.

The tender says: “This tender provides for the design and construction of a yard for loading (unloading) explosives and ammunition.”

According to information provided by the Ministry of Defense, repair work will be carried out on the territory of the main camp at the airport named after Mihail Kogălniceanu. The organizer will be the US Army Corps of Engineers. Contractors are also required to construct an aircraft loading apron and taxiways, prepare the area, and install utilities and lighting.
